Cold Turkey is a strict application that blocks popular sites and those that you add to the list. It's as simple as checking the pages you want to block and deciding when the block should end, which in the free version can be as late as a week later.

From that moment, it will be totally impossible to access any of these sites, no matter which browser you use. You can't disable the application from the task bar or the process administrator, and if you find some way to disrupt the program, the lockout period will be extended for a week.

Time passes even when you have your computer turned off, and changing your computer clock won't speed anything up, since the application is virtually impenetrable.
